My Trip To Kefalonia

Recently I have been to Kefalonia, which is an island off Greece, with my family for two weeks. We stayed at the Astra Village Resort. This is one of the reasons that I haven't posted in quite some time, oops.
Here are a few of the pictures that I took on this trip.

Roadtrip
For part of the holiday, 3 days, we rented a car and decided to have a kind of roadtrip around the island. The first place on the list was Sami, The Melissani Caves, and Agia Efimia. This photo was taken from the car window on the way hence the black shape at the top.

This was also taken from the car on the way to Sami.

Melissani Caves
The first place we went to was The Melissani Caves because it was the main place that I wanted to go. The Melissani caves run underground and the land above it has collapsed to form and kind of island.

At one part the gondolier takes you through a small gap into a darker part with the mound of collapsed rock. These were the stalactites that hung from around the cave.

The water was super clear which made it look even prettier.

The water is super blue.

Agia Efimia
After the Melissani Caves we went to Agia Efimia to have a look around.

There were a lot of boats in Agia Efimia but there were a lot more yachts and boats that rent for a million a week in Sami's port.

Assos
On the third day we travelled to the top of the island and went to Assos then Fiskardo. If you like pretty villages then I would definitely recommend Assos because it was so cute and colourful.

This fort was at the top of a big hill, we only got about a quarter of the way up and then came back down.

Fiskardo
In Fiskardo I saw this fire escape decorated so cute that I just had to take a photo.

From what I saw the sea in Kefalonia is super clear almost everywhere.

Sunsets
A lot of the sunsets that I was were more red toned. One night even the moon turned red.

  2. This brings back loads of memories for me! I think I have pretty much the same picture through the trees of Assos!
