Alpha-H Liquid Gold Review

I got this skincare product in my Marks & Spencer's Advent Calendar 2016, and oh my it is awesome! So good that I decided to do a review on it.

'Revitalises and assists in firming the skin in a single application through a multi-action formula of silk protein and liquorice'

At first when I saw this product I was rather apprehensive due to the name because 'liquid gold' seemed a bit strange of a product to put on your face. Once I used this product I realised the name because it really is liquid gold because it is so good. It firms the face and leaves it feeling so nice and clean. The smell is a bit like nail polish remover due to the liquorice extracts but didn't strip the skin like a nail polish remover would. The liquorice within the formula visibly reduces the appearance of hyper-pigmentation, acne, scarring and presumably wrinkles. The liquorice also helps with softening and soothing the skin. The formula also contains glycolic acid to aid with rejuvenating the skin and it really does. I would recommend this to anyone who has minor skin complaints because, for me at least, it really helps.

Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar Blush First Impressions

This is the amazing Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar Blush Palette. I mean seriously how amazingly pretty is this! I have been wanting this for so long and when I went on a shopping trip with my friends the other week, I saw this whilst in Superdrug but I had already spent all my money. I later went shopping with my mum and saw it again. This time I was prepared and had all £6. That's right. This was only £6. For all 8 shades!

I love the packaging for the product. I like that it looks so sleek, the rose gold lettering makes it seem more professional and interesting.

The back of the box has a preview of the shades inside. In my opinion the pictures don't do the shades any justice because you can't see their dazzling shine or pigmentation.

The palette itself sticks to the sleek minimalistic vibe and also has metallic lettering.

First Row
The shades don't have names which is a bit sad. So instead whilst I talk about them, I will give them names to refer to them. I pronounce this one to be 'stardust'
. This highlight is gorgeous and is super pigmented and reflects really well in the light.

I call this one 'Peppa' after Peppa Pig. Peppa is quite a light pink and is the most pink toned out of all the blushers. This also has a lovely shimmer.

This one I call 'rose moon'. Rose moon is a bit more purple toned than Peppa and again has high quality pigmentation and  a gorgeous shimmer.

This one I call 'golden sand'. Golden Sand is very reflective and would look great with a tan to make you seem like a golden goddess (not that this would even happen to me because I would look like a tomato).

The shades I have shown are quite subtle but have an amazing shine to them. In order from left to right: Moonshine, Peppa, Rose Moon, Golden Sand

Second Row

This one I call 'Jupiter'. Jupiter is more of a nudey brown colour and is more subtle than the other brown shades.

This one I call 'jazz'. I adore this one. The sparkle from this one is enough to burn your eyes out, in a good way (if that is possible). This is the most purple toned shade and as you might be able to tell by my slight exaggeration, it is so beautifully shiny.

This one I call 'carrat'. Carrat is quite a golden brown, almost like Golden Sand but more brown toned.

This one I call 'Matty Healy'. Matty is the only matte shade in the palette and is a brown shade that is useful for contouring.

These shades are the darker shades. In order from left to right: Jupiter, Jazz, Carrat, Matty Healy.

Canteen and Cocktails Review

For my birthday a few weeks ago I decided to go to Canteen and Cocktails for my birthday meal. I had been there before so I already knew that I loved it. I went to the Canteen and Cocktails in Norton, but there is also one in Newcastle.

Theme/Interior
I love the theme of the place. The bar (and the rest of the place) is quite retro and the stools lined up at the bar fit the theme too. One of the things that I love about the decor of the place is the lights. They have lots of industrial lights that really set the theme and I would love to have at my house. The doors have a quirky hand print on them instead of a handle or doorknob which I thought was quite cool. There is an upstairs that I tend to go to that has booths and is a little bit quieter earlier on in the night. The upstairs also has a dj booth and a separate bar.

Food
The food here is bloody amazing. I always get nachos for a starter and they are massive. I normally get 1 between 4 of us. The nachos taste so good and the pulled pork ones taste even better than the original ones. I got a cheeseburger for my main and some house fries. Be warned if you only want a small meal or have a small appetite then this might not be the best things to have because the portion is massive but so delicious.

Overall I would say that Canteen and Cocktails is my favourite restaurant at the moment. I give the atmosphere a 5/5 and the food also a 5/5.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette Review

Whilst in New York last November I brought it upon myself to buy the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and I am so glad that I did.

The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and has it's own proud place on my make-up shelf for all the see. I like that the colours reflect the actually eyeshadow shades and the overall them is rose.

Overall the shades in my opinion are amazing and I use all of them and they are all of such a good quality.

These shades are the lightest and are really pretty. The shades from left to right are strange, duet, burnout, limit. Strange is just a cream shade powder whereas duet and burnout are glittery and are pink shades. Limit is more of a matte shadow.

These shades are the ones that I use the most as they aren't too light or dark. The shades from left to right are buzz, trick, nooner, liar. Buzz is my most used and favourite shade and is a glittery pink of shade whereas trick is more of an orange which makes me think of Halloween as pumpkins are orange and it reminds me or trick or treat. Nooner is a matte pink/brown shade. Liar is a light brown glittery shade and another one of my favourites.

These are the darkest colours in the palette but are still quite subtle. The shades from left to right are factory, mugshot, darkside and blackheart. Factory is a nice brown shade and is sparkly like all of the other shades at this section of the palette. Mugshot is more of a golden colour and darkside is a mix between brown and grey. Blackheart is an almost black colour but has specks of purple and pink in it.

Overall I love this palette and really would love to test out the other palettes from Urban Decay.

MAC 'Brave' Lipstick Review

Whilst I was in New York in November last year, I went into a MAC store about everyday. It was only on the last day that I actually bought a product for myself. I bought this beautiful lipstick and have since fallen in love with it.
I love the packaging for the lipsticks from MAC as their bullet shape makes them look as elegant as they are.

Firstly I apologise for the shape of my lipstick but I wore it down so much and basically wear it everyday plus it was and is my first proper lipstick. The colour of the lipstick is gorgeous as other people who bought it described it like 'velvet teddy' but instead of brown undertones it has a more rosier pink undertone. I kind of agree with this statement as it is easy to wear for school as teachers don't pick up on it but you can still tell it's there.

The lipstick itself applies so easily and is quite long-lasting and doesn't make your lips look like your lips are crusty or bumpy.
