Uses of Tea Tree Essential Oil

At some point or another we have all probably heard of tea tree oil. Tea tree is amazing in many different ways and I intend to show you how.

Tea tree oil is derived from the leaves of the 'Tea Tree'. The oil can be used as an antiseptic, and because of it's many compounds also has antimicrobial properties.

Here are some uses of tea tree oil:

-Get rid of spots and blemishes
-Relief from razor burns
-Treat cuts and wounds
-Reduces acne
-Helps cure chapped lips
-Helps cures dry skin
-Good for insect bites
-Controls body odour
-Helps with hair growth
-Fights dandruff
-Fights bacterial and viral infections
-Helps ward off a cold
-Keeps bugs away (massive win)

Here's some caution for if you use tea tree oil:

-Never consume it
-A little goes a long way
-It is very strong

What if I remained friends with the people I used to be friends with?

I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if I was still friends with the people I was friends with in primary school. I often think this if when I am sometimes surrounded by a group of 'friends' but I still feel alone, because are they truly 'friends' if you still feel alone?
One of my friends from primary was one of the popular girls. Once we got to secondary school she remained the popular girl and I kind of just existed. We never really talked and we grew apart. I often wonder what it would be like if I was still friends with her. I think I could have got thinner, all the girls in that group were and are thin and so I think I would have been more motivated. She would probably encourage me if that was what I wanted to do and come to the gym with me so I wasn't on my own. I feel like if we were still friends then my name would be better known. People know her name but do they really know mine? I also wonder would I have a good friendship group, everyone in her friendship group now are pretty close whereas in mine chaos tends to reign and arguments are almost common, except for a few people. I feel like I would have learnt not to be a wallflower if I were still friends with her, she tends to go to parties whereas I do not and if I do then by the wall is where I tend to remain because the coolness of it gives me a reminder that I am here and that I won't get dragged away by crowds. But, if I were still friends with her where would mine and her loyalty lie. I would stick up for her through everything as I very often did, whereas she did not. Her other friends called me names and she stood back and said nothing. That was kind of the final straw for me that furthered our impending separation. As the procrastinator I am, I can't help but think of all these possibilities, because maybe in another universe somewhere we are still friends and everything played out right, or maybe it didn't. But I can still wonder.

What I got for Christmas 2016

This year I got lots of amazing presents and I am grateful for all of them. I thought I would share what I got, as is usual, I do not mean to brag but know that I love seeing these types of posts.

My main present was this 15" Chromebook, which I am typing on right now. The screen is massiveMy mum and dad bought me this. and I was in need of a new laptop as my old one was broken.

My Grandma and Grandad bought me this Cachet watch which will most definitely look better than my old bright blue one.

The Quinns bought me this light box and I love it. bI have been wanting to get one of these for ages.

Various people bought my Soap & Glory because anyone who knows me knows that I love bath stuff.

My Aunty Pam and Madge bought me this Benefit gift set which includes lots of mini sized best sellers. I am looking forward to trying these out.

My Mum got me some coffee chocolates because I am strange and like the chocolates that everyone else leaves AKA coffee chocolates and bounty.

My Grandma and Grandad also bought me this facial brush which looks very good. I have been wanting to try out one of these for ages.

As you can probably guess, I absolutely adore Alice In Wonderland, well I mean it did inspire my blog name. My Grandma and Grandad bought me this gorgeous hardback classics edition and a bookmark to go with it. Somehow I have never actually read Alice In Wonderland so when I opened this I legit screamed.

My mum and dad bought me this book because whenever I am in a Waterstones I always see it and always have to get dragged away so that I don't buy the entire store. I love writing and this book will help me with ideas of what to write about.

My Nana and Grandad bought me This Modern Love by Will Darbyshire. I have been wanting this for so long because I loved the concept of it and admire Will.

My friend Lucy/Philly got me this lightbulb glass and OMG it is one of the cutest things I have ever seen!

Lucy also got me these Sephora sheet masks that I love. I originally saw them when we were in New York together on a school trip but didn't buy many and totally regretted not getting more. Whilst Lucy was in Italy this year she bought me these and OMG Philly stop being so cute!

On the note of Lucy being adorable, she also bought me this clock decoration which immediately reminded me of Alice In Wonderland. It is so intricate and cute.

I received so many amazing gifts but I have only shown a few. A massive thank you to everyone who bought me presents and Merry Christmas to everyone.

The Autumn Tag

Image result for fall tumblr

Autumn is probably my favourite season as it is just so cosy and I am forever excited for it. I found this tag on Makeup Savvy and thought it would be a good idea.

What signifies the start of autumn?
Autumn most definitely starts as soon as I see an orange leaf, and you can't tell me otherwise.

What is your favourite fall scent?

I don't really have a fave fall scent, but I do love the smell of cinnamon.

What is your favourite autumn colour?
My favourite autumn colours are burgundy and oranges.

What is your favourite autumn drink?

My favourite autumn drink is a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows, or maybe hot juice.

What TV Show, new or old, are you looking forward to this autumn?
I am SO looking forward to Supernatural coming out in October (I think). I really hope they do a Halloween special but with all the drama going on in the last season I doubt it.

What is your autumn fashion trend?
My autumn fashion trend is definitely doc martens and big jumpers.

What is your favourite frugal autumn activity?

I love carving pumpkins, and if I had the chance would love to go to a PYO (pick your own) farm.

What is your favourite Autumn make-up look?
Got to be a dark lip and bold brows (AKA Cara Delevigne)

Urban Outfitters Home Wishlist

One of my favourite places to have a look at home-ware things in is Urban Outfitters. I always have a list of things that I would like. Here is just a few of the things.

I love these little hanging bottles. They look so cute with flowers in. This is £20

This mirror is so nice. I love minimalistic things and this mirror would love perfect in my dream house. This costs £45

This chalkboard arrow is so cute. I could imagine them hanging around my house and pointing to different places like 'garden' or 'party this way'. This costs £8

This magazine rack is something that I definitely need. I have so many magazines laying around in my bedroom, but I have nowhere to put them all. This is really expensive and costs £80

I thought this was so cute when I first saw it. I really want to try and have some plants in my room but all I have at the moment is some dead lavender in a small vase. This costs £29

Going off on a bit of a tangent now. These are some books that I saw on the website that I thought looked really cool.

This book looks really good and I love travelling and want to see so many places and this book would be a great handguide and a little prompt to get myself out there. This book is by lonelyplanet, which I love, and costs £19.99

Another travelling book. This one is just about Europe and since I live in the UK I thought this one would be useful as it will have places that I can actually get to. This one costs £24.99

I tend to have some weird dreams. I can easily remember my dreams in vivid detail and sometimes I'm not sure whether it is a gift or a nightmare. I can still remember nightmares I had when I was five! This book costs £12

I thought this book was really cute and looked really cool. I would love to get it.  It costs £9.99

Love Yourself Workout

Now you may be reading this thinking that it will just be a workout to do whilst listening to Justin Bieber's song 'Love yourself'. Well if you did then you are wrong. The aim of this workout is self love and self appreciation. Many girls don't love themselves even though every girl on this planet known as Earth is gorgeous and beautiful in their own ways. I recommend doing this workout whenever you feel a bit down.

  • Compliment your body 3 times while looking at yourself in the mirror.
  • Say 5 nice things about yourself, this could be your physical points of beauty or your emotions and skills that you are proud to have.
  • Name 3 things to forgive yourself for.
  • List all the things you're good at, this could be that you are a good aim in netball or that your have a good shower singing voice (it's hard to sing in those conditions sometimes!)
  • Name 10 kind things you have done.
  • Name 5 accomplishments you've achieved in life so far.
  • Name 3 areas you have been able to improve on.
  • Name 3 fears that you have overcome.
  • Name the reasons why you are a good friend, if you can't think of any then call up a friend and ask them.
Now 'baby, you should go and love yourself'

Canteen and Cocktails Review

For my birthday a few weeks ago I decided to go to Canteen and Cocktails for my birthday meal. I had been there before so I already knew that I loved it. I went to the Canteen and Cocktails in Norton, but there is also one in Newcastle.

Theme/Interior
I love the theme of the place. The bar (and the rest of the place) is quite retro and the stools lined up at the bar fit the theme too. One of the things that I love about the decor of the place is the lights. They have lots of industrial lights that really set the theme and I would love to have at my house. The doors have a quirky hand print on them instead of a handle or doorknob which I thought was quite cool. There is an upstairs that I tend to go to that has booths and is a little bit quieter earlier on in the night. The upstairs also has a dj booth and a separate bar.

Food
The food here is bloody amazing. I always get nachos for a starter and they are massive. I normally get 1 between 4 of us. The nachos taste so good and the pulled pork ones taste even better than the original ones. I got a cheeseburger for my main and some house fries. Be warned if you only want a small meal or have a small appetite then this might not be the best things to have because the portion is massive but so delicious.

Overall I would say that Canteen and Cocktails is my favourite restaurant at the moment. I give the atmosphere a 5/5 and the food also a 5/5.

The Liebster Award

The lovely Caitlin from CaitlinLucy has nominated me for a liebster award. The Liebster Award is like a tag in which blogs with less than 300 followers answer questions and nominate other bloggers to do the same to connect with each other.

What keeps you motivated to blog?
I feel like looking through other people blogs and cool aesthetic instagram accounts make me more motivated to create something rather than just write something up. Also if there is something that I just need to rant about then my blog is the perfect place.

What do you think is the hardest thing about blogging?
I feel like the hardest part about blogging for me so far is thinking of blog post ideas because that can become rather tricky once you have used up your imagination skills for the day.

What is your favourite thing about blogging?
My favourite thing about blogging is knowing that people are reading it and taking in what I am saying (vain I know) but also when people comment lovely things because it makes me feel really happy.

What is your favourite book?
My all time favourite book has to be Hexed by Michelle Krys and the second book Charmed. If you have never read it then please do because I honestly cannot rant enough about how bloody good it is!

What is your favourite restaurant?
My favourite restaurant at the moment is Canteen and Cocktails. If you don't know what Canteen and Cocktails is then stay tuned because a review of it is coming up as I went there for my birthday meal (self-promo complete haha)

Milkshakes, cold coffee or smoothies?
I think I probably prefer smoothies because whenever I go into Costa's I always automatically get a smoothie. I also love milkshakes though as it is probably one of the only ways I will drink milk because ,in my opinion, milk tastes disgusting.

What is your favourite season and why?
I think my favourite season might be summer because it just makes me feel really happy. I was contemplating saying Autumn/Fall but in actuality I feel like that is more of my tumblr season and also makes me feel a bit depressed but at the same time warms my heart. I am a bit strange I know.

What is/was your favourite subject at school?
My favourite subject at school is probably graphics because it is one of the only lessons that I am with my best friend Isabel and the teacher is really funny and lets me listen to music and mess around.

What languages can you speak?
I can speak English obviously as it is my first language.
Je parle un peu petit francais. (French)
Yo hablo un poco espanol (Spanish)
Ich spreche nur ein kleines bisschen Deutsch (German)

What is your favourite blog post you have written?
I think it could be 'New York Trip' because I loved reminiscing whilst looking through my photos and re-telling stories from my trip. I also could be 'My Personal Thoughts On Beauty' because it was kind of like a mini rant about what I believe in.

If you could be any animal for a day what would you be?
I would be a wolf because I really love wolves and I would spend the entire day hunting and the entire night howling at the moon.

To answer my 11 questions I nominate:
1. Lii - byliil
2. Florence - CountingTheDaisys
3. Hazel - MyFairFreckles
4. Shona - ShonasStyle
5. (Mia) Lyza - ChaoticTales
6. Sophie - SophieAnneHamilton
7. Kaja - PrettyMuchTheBestBlog
8. Fillipa - AlwaysADot
9. Kathryn - KathAndCake
10. Natasha - NatashaTodd

9. What is your do to pick-me-up song?
10. Who is your role model?

2. You have to answer the questions asked to you in a blog post.
3. You have to nominate 11 new bloggers.
4. You have to set 11 new questions for the bloggers you have nominated.

Thank you all for reading and I'm so looking forward to reading the responses of the nominees!

What I Got For My 15th Birthday

It was my 15th birthday yesterday so I have decided to show you what I received. I am not trying to show off in any way but this is just a way to show how grateful I am for everything that I got.

I opened this and thought it was absolutely adorable and quite a coincidence. It is a little flower press. I think it is quite a coincidence because the other day I was saying to my friends that I want to start pressing flowers again and then I opened this the next day!
I always tend to ask for and receive a lot of books. I had asked for this one because for a start I love Connor Franta and because one of my friends already had this book and said it as so aesthetically pleasing and written really well. I have only read a little bit of it but I can conform this.

I got this off one of my friends and I think it is so adorable and I love the print. I haven't decided what I will use it for yet but I will most definitely fill it with something.
I originally saw this book in one of Ingrid Nilsen's monthly favourites and she read out an extract and I fell in love with how it was written. It is a compilation of essays, so is not a story, and is also about feminism.

My cousin bought me this benefit make-up book and I have had a quick flick through it and I love some of the make-up looks so I might try them on myself.

She also got me this cute necklace that will be added to my collection of necklaces and I can put together some outfits with it.

My auntie Pam bought me this and I love the patterns and I will use it to plan out my blog posts.

My little brother bought me the new pointless blog book, I have flicked through a few pages of this too and it looks really good and is very different to the other books that he has published.

I got a skinnydip glitter phone case off my parents because I had been talking about it for a while and didn't want to buy it myself because it is quite a bit of money for a phone case. I got the wooden phone case off my friend Jade and I really like the print.

I have been asking for this book for about 3 years. Each time I didn't get it but now I finally have it!

I got a MAC make-over experience and £30 to spend in MAC off my auntie, uncle and cousins.

I got this leather backpack off my grandma and grandad and I absolutely love it. I have been asking for one for quite a while but the ones I had seen where too small but this one is perfect and quite big.
